I miss Japan
I terribly miss Japan and the people there U_U
Also being able to buy manga easily.
But well, now it's time to find a job so I can go back next year, and this time as a tourist, so I can use the always awesome JR Pass!
Cause I wanna travel! Go to Nikko, Mount Fuji, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Nara, and of course, Okinawa. Yeah, I know I'll need more than one trip for all that.

Since I cannot keep track of the new manga any more, I am trying with anime.
And that's why I decided to watch four of the new series this season.
Something that I've never done before, btw.
I only follow one or two series while they are airing, and I watch anything else after they are already over.
But this time, there are four that I find really insteresting, so I'm gonna give it a go and try to watch them every week (plus HBO's Game of Thrones). That will keep me busy for a while.

The series I'm talking about are:

Sakamichi no Apollon

Kimi to Boku 2

So what do you think? And what are you going to watch this Spring?

Ya, a mí me pasa parecido, he visto poco antiguo y me da pena.

You've probably already seen this but: http://static.neregate.com/2012/01/neregate.com-Spring-2012-Anime-v2.png :D

From that list, I'm watching: Kimi to Boku (of course) and then so far I've watched first episodes of Sankarea (first episode was just okay, will give it another episode or 2), Hiiro no Kakera (I thought the first episode was boring, but it's very pretty, so I'll probably give it one more before I give up) and Zetman (really intriguing - kind of weird art style, but I liked it). And then I'm also planning to try Sakamichi no Appolon, Hou-ka and probably Tasogare OtomexAmnesia (because I like mystery/horror series a lot). :D

I hadn't heard of Tsuritama, but I'll check it out! From the PV, it looks really cute! *_*

I'm...probably watching too much. XD; I've only recently started following stuff right when it comes out though, so having all this new anime is still kind of a novelty? ;)

I'd seen a previous version, I think, but still the same, more or less.
Thank you, anyway, cause I always miss them.

Yaaay Kimi to Boku! I loved both episodes so far!
What's Sankarea like? I wasn't that interested because of that main image with only a pretty girl...
Hiiro no Kakera is one of those series I'd like to watch... if it wasn't a "romantic game", as they say. I really think that they should tell the story without the girl. They are always weird and stupid, and of course, they become so important and everyone loves them... I understand that you are supposed to be them in the games (and I wonder if Japanese girls want to be like that?), but I really don't like their personality and how sometimes the story seems to go slower because of them. I might be totally unfair though xD
Zetman is what they called the "new Tiger&Bunny", right? I heard the manga's author is Masakazu Katsura, so I guess that's why. But my friends said it's so different from the manga! And they were a little angry. I haven't read the manga, so I wonder if you have.
Tasogare OtomexAmnesia looks interesting too, though I had the same problem again, that main image they chose...

Tsuritama looks cute, and I like the seiyuus they chose. Also, it looks pretty interesting cause it's about fishing! More or less... Anyway, it will be the first anime about fishing I see xD From what I read, the main character has no friends, and then the blonde I'm-an-alien guy forces him into becoming friends... and fishing xD

Don't worry, one of my friends is gonna watch at least 16 first episodes this season. She already recommended Kurako no Baske, but I'm not into sports anime, really. I know how you feel, cause I always used to watch everything once it was over. Being in Japan changed that, though, cause with merch and everything it's always "now or never", so if you're gonna love a series once it's over, you better start earlier and enjoy it with everyone else.

I always miss them too. Thankfully I have a faithful LJ friend who always posts them. :D

Sankarea was okay. I was moderately interested in the main character, who...has a zombie fetish, in that...he really likes zombies. And wants to date one. :P And then he meets a pretty girl, and I think where it's going is going to be that she's somehow a zombie. I heard somewhere that it's listed as being in the sort of "ecchi" genre, but the first episode wasn't all that ecchi, so... I'm going to give it one more to see where it goes. *nod*

And I feel the same way about Hiiro no Kakera. I was sort of turned off by the fact that it was based off a game, and then... Yeah, the girl was totally boring in the first episode. I'll watch more of it if I start hearing it's awesome or something, but... I also find that genre really boring.

Tasogare OtomexAmnesia - So I watched half of the first episode of this last night, and hated it. There were a lot of gags that weren't funny at all, and it definitely has a really immature, kind of ecchi feel to it. Not what I was expecting at all. :/

I actually kind of like sports anime, so... Maybe I'll give Kurako a try. I looked at that a little, and decided I was watching too much already, but... We'll see.

I didn't realize Zetman was done by Masakazu Katsura. That sort of...makes me more interested, though to me I'm not really seeing a similarity in the style. I'll have to pay closer attention. And no, I haven't read the manga, so I'm just going off how the story came across in that first episode. And I thought it was pretty interesting/engaging.

I definitely see what you mean about Japan sort of encouraging you to be more current. That's kind of how I feel now about tumblr, lol. ;) I see people posting about stuff, and it's sort of like "well, if I don't watch this now, I'll just be spoiled for later, so..." ;)
